Gelu Italian Ice has been enjoyed in sporting stadiums and arenas across the country for years, earning a loyal following from coast to coast. With nearly 40 vibrant flavors, there’s truly something for everyone.

We brought Gelu to Omaha because our community deserves a frozen dessert that’s as refreshing as it is flavorful. Our Italian ice is light, smooth, and made with real fruit. It’s vegan, dairy‑free, and gluten‑free, making it an inclusive treat that everyone can enjoy.

But Gelu is more than what’s in the cup. Our team shows up with energy. Whether it’s a festival, market, corporate event, or school fundraiser, we strive to create a welcoming, upbeat environment with great customer service and a whole lot of fun.

MEET THE OWNER

Gelu Italian Ice is owned and operated by Omaha native, Danah Afana. Growing up with parents who both owned small businesses, Danah was surrounded by entrepreneurship from an early age and always knew she would one day build something of her own. She earned her degree from the University of Nebraska at Omaha in December 2025, preparing her for the next chapter of her entrepreneurial journey.

After discovering Gelu and falling in love with its vibrant flavors and smooth, refreshing texture, Danah knew it was something Omaha needed. With a background in event production, marketing, customer service, and entrepreneurship, Gelu felt like the perfect fit, a place where her creativity, energy, and love for local community could come together.
